Bio

Barbara is an internationally trained and clinically focused RMT with 9+ years experience. She was trained in Oxford and in BC, did her practicums at Women and Childen’s Hospital, UBC Hospital, and a community HIV clinic. Her case study was on the Efficacy of Massage on Chemotherapy Side Effects of Peripheral Neuropathy. Her main focus of treatment is Myofascial Release a very deep, thorough, slow, specific targeted technique that concentrates on a section of the body per treatment.

She is passionate about her ethos of practice which is to educate and talk people through their treatments, so they understand what she is doing, what is happening and how their body is responding.

She believes in Health at Every Size, and Safe on My Table – an ethos of non-judgement that welcomes those who are normally nervous of treatment. She believes all bodies deserve respect no matter age, background, gender, neuropattern, shape, experience, change, or size: I support people in their lived experiences and how their body – all bodies – brought them through life, no matter how they have changed without judgement.
