What is Massage Therapy?
A Registered Massage Therapist is a health
professional who specializes in the manipulation of soft tissues; such as joints, muscles and ligaments in order to alleviate any discomforts. The RMT profession is regulated by the College of Massage Therapy of BC (CMTBC) which provides a set of guidelines and qualifications needed to standardize the profession. Each RMT goes through rigorous training and education to be licensed. Education is never ending and RMTs keep up to date with Continuing Education Courses as part of the CMTBC’s requirements.
