Maria graduated from Langara College’s Registered Massage Therapy Program. During her time at school, she had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations; from dancers to rock climbers, stressed students to desk workers, active seniors to professional athletes, and individuals with spinal cord injuries. Through her experiences, Maria has developed an interest working with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD) and hand pathologies, including but not limited to: arthritis, trigger finger, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Her current treatment style highlights patient participation and education, breath work, Swedish Massage, Myofascial and Active Release, and Trigger Point work. In the future, Maria will be pursuing further education in IASTM, Visceral Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and ASL.
Outside of the clinic, Maria enjoys reading novels and research papers, exploring BC’s beautiful landscapes, and discovering new foodie hot spots!
